Amy Paller, MS, MD is the Walter J. Hamlin Professor and Chair of Dermatology, Professor of Pediatrics, and Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-based Center (SBDRC) at Northwestern. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Brown University and her medical degree from Stanford University. Dr. Paller completed residency training in both Pediatrics and Dermatology at Northwestern University and her postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of North Carolina. She served as Chief of Pediatric Dermatology at Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s) until she became Chair of Dermatology at Northwestern in 2004. An author of more than 600 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Paller has also written or edited several major textbooks in dermatology, among them Hurwitz’s Clinical Pediatric Dermatology (now 6th edition) and Fitzpatrick’s Dermatology in General Medicine. She is an NIH-funded investigator in both her laboratory-based and clinical research. She has directed the Pediatric Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit at Northwestern/ Lurie Children’s for the past 30 years and has been the lead investigator on several landmark trials in pediatric skin diseases. Her laboratory focuses on cell-cell communication in inflammatory skin diseases and impaired wound healing, as well as on topically delivered gene regulation through nanotherapy. She has defined skin and blood biomarkers for children with atopic dermatitis and ichthyosis towards pathogenesis-directed therapy and has developed new patient-related outcomes scales for itch and stigma in children. Dr. Paller has been president of several organizations, among them the Society for Investigative Dermatology, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance. She is currently President of the International Society for Pediatric Dermatology. She has served on Council and the Board of Scientific Councilors for NIH/NIAMS, is a Section Editor for the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and is active as a Board member for several patient advocacy organizations. She has received several honors for her scholarship, leadership and mentorship, among them election to the American Association of Physicians and the American Dermatological Association. Selected from among her many awards are the inaugural Paula Stern Outstanding Women in Science and Medicine Award from Northwestern, the Stephen Rothman Award from the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the Tanioku Kihei Memorial Award from the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology, the International Award from the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the Martin D. Carter Mentorship Award from the American Skin Association, the inaugural Hall of Fame Award from the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and most recently the Tripartite Award from Northwestern. She is an honorary member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Investigative Dermatology, and the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Paller has mentored hundreds of students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty; her greatest pleasure is to watch young people gain knowledge, get excited about concepts and discoveries, and advance their own careers.
Margarita Larralde MD, PhD, is Full Professor of Dermatology at the University of Buenos Aires. She is the Head of the Division of Dermatology at the Department of Medicine in the German Hospital of Buenos Aires and the Chief of the Section Pediatric Dermatology at the Ramos Mejia Hospital of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. She is also the Director of the Fellowships of Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology in the University of Buenos Aires. She authored more than 200 manuscripts published in peer reviewed Dermatology Journals, was the editor of several books on Pediatric Dermatology and a lot of chapters of different Dermatology Books.
Dr. Mark Koh is a dermatologist, pediatric dermatologist and dermatopathologist. He is head and senior consultant at the Department of Dermatology, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital. He is a visiting consultant at Singapore General Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital & National Cancer Centre. Dr. Koh is a Clinical Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Adjunct Associate Professor at NTU-LKC Medical School, and senior clinical lecturer at the NUS-YLL Medical School. Dr. Koh is Secretary General of the Asian Society of Pediatric Dermatology (ASPD) and Treasurer of the International Society of Pediatric Dermatology (ISPD).

Dr. Pope is a graduate of University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania and University of Toronto. She obtained her MSc in Pharmacology from University of Toronto and a Diploma in Clinical Trials from Faculty of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, London, UK. She is a Professor at the University of Toronto and heads the Pediatric Dermatology at the Hospital for Sick Children. Her clinical and research interests are in the field of rare, orphan disease (epidermolysis bullosa and other genodermatoses, morphea, cutaneous lymphomas, etc) and vascular tumors.
Dirk Van Gysel is head of the Department of Pediatrics in the O.L.Vrouw Hospital Aalst and consultant in pediatric dermatology at the University (Hospital) of Brussels in Belgium.
He is currently the president of the Belgian Pediatric Dermatology Association. He is a board member of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology and the International Society of Pediatric Dermatology.
He has published several book-chapters and journal articles in peer-reviewed journals in the field of allergy, pediatrics and pediatric dermatology. He acts as a referee of several international journals in the field of pediatric dermatology.
He has been involved in the organization of and has lectured / chaired in several national, European and world congresses and training courses in the field of dermatology and pediatric dermatology.
Research interests include mastocytosis, exanthems, neonatal skin (care) and genodermatoses.
Dr. Sandipan Dhar is currently the Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric Dermatology, Institute of Child Health, Kolkata, India.
He is the founder president, Society for Eczema Studies(SES), India, member, academic committee’ International Eczema Council(IEC), SPIN scientific member, member of board of directors and chairman, mentorship committee, International society of pediatric dermatology(ISPD).
He has so far published more than 280 scientific papers. He delivered more than 110 international and 320 national lectures. He authored the first book on Pediatric Dermatology in skin of colour way back in 2003 whose 4th edition has been recently published. He has authored 5 more books in Dermatology and has contributed chapters in more than 50 books, both national & international.
He is the recipient of very prestigious Dr. Surrinder Kaur award for outstanding contribution to Pediatric Dermatology in India & subcontinent by International Society of Pediatric Dermatology.
He has Chaired sessions, delivered lectures on Pediatric Dermatology & Atopic Dermatitis in various important conferences in the country & abroad as well as various premier institutes across the world

Anne Halbert is a Pediatric Dermatologist with over 30 years of experience. After training in Dermatology in Perth, she undertook advanced training in Pediatric Dermatology in Denver, Colorado. She was Head of Department at Perth Children’s Hospital for 17 years, establishing subspecialty clinics in genetics and vascular malformations. She is an Associate Professor of Dermatology with the University of Western Australia and is on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr Leong Kin Fon is a consultant pediatric dermatologist from General Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Dr Leong has been active in medical research, and has presented in numerous local and international conferences.
Dr Leong has also authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications ( 122 publications according to researchgate ) and books; among which include The Faces of Atopic Eczema among Malaysian Children and the Atlas of Pediatric Diseases series.
Dr Leong is the founder and president of malaysia eczema society since 2020 and the past president of the Malaysian Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association (DEBRA Malaysia) from 2013 – 2022
He actively volunteers with various national & international humanitarian organizations such as MERCY, TIMA and Medecen San Frontier.
Dr Leong has special interest in eczema, acne, psoriasis, birthmarks, portwine stain, nevus of Ota hemangioma, vascular lesions and common skin problems in children, adolescent and young adults.

John McGrath is the academic head of St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London where he also runs the Genetic Skin Disease Group. He holds the Mary Dunhill Chair in Cutaneous Medicine at King’s College London and is Honorary Consultant Dermatologist to the Guy’s and St Thomas’ National Health Service Foundation Trust. His expertise is in genodermatoses, discovering genes and running clinical trials of experimental therapies to improve patient care.

Dr. Zaenglein is a Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine/ Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
In her academic career, Dr. Zaenglein has overseen numerous clinical trials in children and young adults. Her particular areas of research interest are acne and novel therapies for pediatric skin diseases.
Dr. Zaenglein is involved with a number of professional organizations, including the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA), the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Acne and Rosacea Society and the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies. She currently serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Pediatric Dermatology, is Past President of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and former Chair of the PeDRA Acne and HS Focused Study Group. Dr. Zaenglein currently serves as President of the American Acne and Rosacea Society and Chair of the PeDRA Studies Committee.

Talia Kakourou is an honorary scientific collaborator of the First Pediatric Department of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Consultant Pediatric Dermatologist at IASO Children’s Hospital, Athens Greece. She has been practicing exclusively Pediatric Dermatology since 1990. She has participated as a lecturer and/or chairperson in many National, European and World congresses. She is the author of several book-chapters and papers in peer-reviewed journals in the field of pediatric dermatology. She is one of the founders of the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Dermatology (1999) and presently the special secretary of the Society. She was the secretary of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology (ESPD) between 2008 and 2010, the president of the ESPD between 2010 and 2012 and the president of the scientific committee of the ESPD between 2018 and 2022. She received a token of appreciation from the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology (EADV) for her contribution to the development of the Academy (2016).

She organised Hungarian and European congresses, fostering courses, took part performing studies, guidelines, book chapters, editor of the Hungarian Textbook of Pediatric Dermatology published in 2019 (Medicina, Budapest).
Regina Betz is Professor of Dermatogenetics at the Institute of Human Genetics at the University of Bonn in Germany. After studying medicine at the University of Saarland and the Karolinska Institute Stockholm, she worked in Stockholm, and the Universities of Freiburg, Bonn and Antwerp. In 2010, she was appointed as Heisenberg Professor for Dermatogenetics in Bonn which became tenure in 2015. The particular research focus of her working group is dermatogenetics, with a main interest in diverse forms of monogenic and genetically complex alopecias and hyperpigmentation disorders. The work, and primarily the elucidation of several disease genes, was rewarded by a number of prizes and awards and is documented in more than 160 publications, among them several publications in high ranking international journals (e.g. Nature Genet., Am J Hum Genet, J Invest Dermatol). Dr. Betz has a board qualification in Human Genetics.
